Is Freedom a Choice?

I attended the Integral Twelve Step Meeting at Alaska Wisdom Recovery this week and the topic was freedom. The thoughts went down so many great branches! So many that today, while those branches spread, I am going back to the roots.

Flipping the Switch

In discussing the change that comes into a life in recovery we can find many common elements. People comment all the time that they went to a meeting and heard “their story”. They thought they were alone and unique but then find others stories and realizations about their lives to all too familiar. the characters may be different but the story is the same.

The Shortest Day or the Longest Night

Here we are at the turning point of Winter Solstice. Whether you see the glass half empty or half full pretty much calls it on how you view this tipping point of daylight. Of course, both are true but they each feel a little different.

I’m experiencing a wonderful Holiday Season of ups and downs. I get to watch and appreciate them now instead of being on the roller coaster and getting nauseous.
